Purpose:

Technology Student Association (TSA) is an international organization that fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics through co-curricular activities, competitions, and related programs. The club meets formally once a month, but informally with club members working to research, build and collaborate on projects and preparation for competition on their own schedule. Scholarships are available, as TSA State Competition brings together STEM students from across Florida, with students qualifying for Nationals moving on to compete with students across the U.S., its territories and a few countries in Europe. Emma Schindler, LHS, is TSA Florida’s 2016-2017 Vice President. Janell Marmon serves as both the Lakeland/Harrison chapter adviser, and Polk District co-adviser. In 2015 twelve chapter participants competed at Nationals in Dallas, Texas. In June of 2016 our Debating Technical Issues team of Emma Schindler and Gabriela Nadeau will compete in Nashville.

Meeting Days/Times: 2nd and 4th tuesday of every month at 2:15 pm in room B-11.
